Storm Bay B & B is situated on the southern tip of the Tasman Peninsula, 75 minutes from Hobart International Airport and ten minutes from historic Port Arthur. Besides being noted for its historic sights the Tasman Peninsula is also famous for its incredible scenic vistas and its pristine natural beauty. Described as ‘a world of its own’ and the ‘undiscovered part of Tasmania’, the Tasman Peninsula has many activities that are all close to the property.
Opened in December 2015, the $40 million Three Capes Track is rated by Lonely Planet as one of the worlds’ best walking tracks. The starting point for the 4 day cliff top walking experience is just 10 minutes from Storm Bay B & B.
Remarkable Cave is a short but worthwhile walk from the car park although there are a few steps involved.
The same car park is the start of the walk to Crescent Bay and Mount Brown. Crescent Bay is a stunning beach with high dunes and clear water looking out to Cape Pillar and Tasman Island.
Tasman National Park occupies 107 sq kms of the Tasman Peninsula. It is an area of great beauty and natural diversity, including some of the most stunning coastal scenery anywhere in Australia. Not surprisingly, the park offers some of the best coastal walks in the country. Some highlights include Tasman Arch, Tasman Blowhole, Devils Kitchen, Waterfall Bay walking track, Fortescue Bay, beautiful Safety Cove Beach with its view to Tasman Island and the Remarkable Cave.
As an alternate experience to the Three Capes Walking Track, guests can undertake this day walk of 5 hours duration. The starting point for this walk is as close as 15 minutes from the property. (A Park Pass is required).
Take the 1.5 hour return walk to the lookout over Shipstern Bluff – home of the biggest surf in Australia. The starting point for the walk is just 15 minutes from the B & B.

The Tessellated Pavement is one of the best known examples of its type and is only a short walk from the car park. This attraction is best viewed at low tide.
