Storm Bay B & B is situated on the southern tip of the Tasman Peninsula, 75 minutes from Hobart International Airport and ten minutes from historic Port Arthur. Besides being noted for its historic sights the Tasman Peninsula is also famous for its incredible scenic vistas and its pristine natural beauty. Described as ‘a world of its own’ and the ‘undiscovered part of Tasmania’, the Tasman Peninsula has many activities that are all close to the property.
Tasman National Park occupies 107 sq kms of the Tasman Peninsula. It is an area of great beauty and natural diversity, including some of the most stunning coastal scenery anywhere in Australia. Not surprisingly, the park offers some of the best coastal walks in the country. Some highlights include Tasman Arch, Tasman Blowhole, Devils Kitchen, Waterfall Bay walking track, Fortescue Bay, beautiful Safety Cove Beach with its view to Tasman Island and the Remarkable Cave.

The Tasman Arch and Devils Kitchen are two stunning examples of local geology and are only a short walk from the car park.
Once the sun has set on the Tasman Peninsula, we are sometimes treated to an after dark show from bioluminescence or the Southern Aurora.
One of the most likely places to see bioluminescence or the Southern Aurora is the car park at the northern end of White Beach (see the map for the location).
